Grant Jeffrey has built a successful international career leading global markets from hubs in Australia, Singapore and the USA. As the CEO and board member of multi-national corporations, he has steered B2B, B2B2C, and channel partnerships in technology and service companies across the health, security and medical supply industries. A patent holder in performance measurement, Grant’s professional mission has been to deliver best-in-class products and services to clients globally.

Graduating from the Australian Defense Force Academy, Grant holds a degree in electrics and electronic engineering from the University of New South Wales, and a graduate diploma in technology management from Deakin. He has served on boards throughout Europe, America, Asia Pacific and South America driving business expansion through M&A and partnerships. His current philanthropy is focused on community service aiding the homeless in Australia.

Grant and his family are currently based in Sydney, Australia, after living in California, Seattle, New York, and Singapore.

Heidi MacFarlane

Executive Vice President, Program Development

Heidi MacFarlane brings more than 30 years of Aviation industry experience to BioAssured working across health, safety, compliance, and training. Heidi’s knowledge of the aviation industry and its regulations and client success focus provides an ideal background to understand vital industry needs and define our overall product strategy.

Most recently a key executive for Comply 365 — an aviation software company — Heidi was responsible for the design and shaping of mobile content management solutions and ensuring they meet the unique needs of highly regulated industries including aviation, transportation, education, and energy.

Prior to this role, she spent more than a decade at MedAire, the leading health and security service provider, providing life-saving advice and response to passengers and employees while travelling. Heidi’s Head of Strategic Development role spanned the globe and the company’s four divisions: commercial airlines, business aviation, yachting, and commercial shipping.

Heidi earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in modern language and linguistics from the University of Maryland and a Master’s degree in education from the University of North Carolina. She has served as vice-chairman of the Cabin Operations Committee of the Air Transport Association and participated in the working group that developed industry anti-terrorism-related guidelines following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Gerri Kania

VP, Business Development

Gerri Kania has dedicated her career to building outstanding partnerships with prestigious client groups in the aviation and travel industries based in North America. Gerri has successfully combined business development, client focus and relationship management with a passion for providing excellent customer service resulting in long standing account retention and satisfaction. In addition, Gerri has provided Executive leadership to Client Focus Groups and Client Advisory Boards offering insight and feedback centered around product support, design and development.

Gerri’s extensive experience in Business Aviation and Risk Management make her ideally positioned to help the industry during the COVID-19 global pandemic. She has played an active role on multiple industry committees including NBAA Flight Attendant/Flight Technician Committee, NBAA Maintenance Committee along with the International Operators Conference planning committee. She also served as a member of the Westchester Aviation Association (WAA), Long Island Business Aviation Association (LIBAA) and as a constant contributor and speaker at multiple industry events.

A native New Yorker, Gerri and her husband reside in Connecticut.

Wehda El Aridi

VP, Business Development

Wehda El Aridi is a highly experienced business development executive with a comprehensive track record of providing solutions to organisations for complex Risk Management products and services across multiple industries.  Her experience extends to commercial and product development of bespoke solutions based on specific market, industry, or client needs.

Wehda brings more than 15 years of global experience in corporate Risk Management involving travel, health, security, and medical equipment services, working across many industries including oil and gas, aviation and maritime, government, and NGOs in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa Throughout her career, Wehda has excelled at building strategic partnerships and maintaining strong relationship with key leading clients and industry partners. 

Wehda has worked and lived in Africa, Middle East, Europe and Asia, is fluent in English, French and Arabic with significant experience in local markets and client operations. Her deep understanding of global cultures and business ensures solutions are locally adapted to the unique needs of her clients.  

Wehda currently resides in Singapore with her family and is an active contributor to the local community, particularly helping vulnerable children and mentoring young professionals through their early careers.

Sims Adams

Director of Quality Assurance

Sims Adams has been working with quaternary silane antimicrobials since 2003, and has been a leading contributor to the development of the technology in the United States. As a chemist he has developed formulations for simple textile use as well as formulations for global applications in the reduction of surface contamination. He has also combined quaternary silane technology with other formulations with use in Animal Sciences, Agriculture, and Biomedical technologies.
Adams is a chemical consultant who has assisted with development of formulas, technologies and application methods of some of the most innovative surface protectants with use throughout the world.

Clients have included Boeing, US Military, NFL, MLB, NBA, US Olympic training facilities, and hundreds of application partners. Adams is currently working with BioAssured to create additional formulations that will exceed new EPA protocols for testing.

Dr. Wes Naylor

Director of Government Regulatory Compliance

A retired U.S Navy captain with extensive business and government relations experience, Naylor specializes in large enterprise executive leadership, business development, federal government operations, academic research, and organizational learning.

Naylor’s twenty-eight-year career with the United States Navy includes multiple commands as a Naval Officer and Aviator. His transformative vision in the fields of Intelligent Tutoring, Virtual and Augmented Reality, and the use of gaming strategies for training were the foundation of the Navy’s next-generation training initiative. As a trusted advisor, his expertise in these areas has been sought out by industry and academic leaders including the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Naylor earned a doctorate in business administration from Rollins College where he has also served in several executive leadership roles. He sits on several civic boards, including the Orlando Economic Partnership, Orlando Science Center, and the National Defense Industrial Association.

Dr. Jason Eichenholz

Science and Technology Advisor

Jason Eichenholz is an entrepreneur, executive and recognized pioneer in laser and optics enabled innovation, product development and commercialization. He holds more than fifty U.S. patents and is a fellow of SPIE, the International Society for Optics and Photonics, as well as a fellow of the Optical Society of America (OSA).

Eichenholz’s products and companies have enabled a variety of applications from autonomous vehicles, battlefield explosives detection, early cancer detection, new drug delivery systems, and environmental studies from the depths of the oceans to the top of Mt. Everest and even on the Moon and Mars.

Eichenholz has a M.S. and Ph.D in Optical Science and Engineering from CREOL – The College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida and a B.S. in Physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He has served as the principal investigator for Air Force and DARPA funded research and development programs.

In his free time, he likes to give back to his community as an advocate for autism awareness and has served for 24 years as a Reserve Lieutenant and EMT with Orange County Fire Rescue.
